Hydrangeas in Early Evening
Hydrangeas are always one of my favorite flowers to grow in my garden and to paint! While I am always envious of the amazing giant blue and purple hydrangeas that grow along the East coast, the hydrangeas in Indiana seldom disappoint. They always seem to glow out of the evening twilight at me in the heat of the summer when so many of the other flowers in my garden tend to wither under the heat. I also love how they seem to perk up after I have accidentally neglected them for a day or two. They are like a steady garden companion throughout the worst of the summer and into the fall.
